This is a beautiful set. I do not believe you should worry about the prop65 warning bc they have to put that on absolutely everything due to laws in california but there is also a clear notice on it that the level of formaldehyde in this product which is in MOST wood products is so low that it is compliant with phase II laws - it actually says this on the chairs - which means it's compliant with the most strict regulations you can get (google it if you don't believe me) and the product is totally safe .. I am very conscious of these things and this is not the problem it could look like if you don't understand the labels.The set is beautiful.The chairs are a pain to put together. If the bars for the front and sides don't fit perfectly into the holes flush against the adjacent pieces then REORIENT them, flip them around, etc - there is an orientation in which they fit perfectly. I actually kept having to unscrew them and flip them around because after staring at it long enough I realized my problem was I put one piece in backwards. The pieces do go where theybare pabeled to go but it would also help if it had labels that said "this end faces forward" etc. Watch the angles on the ends of the bars and you will see the angled part goes against the back and the straight end is for the front.Once it's done being put together the thing is gorgeous. I was worried 30 inches might be too small but I didn't want to block my door with something so I took the risk and it's not too small it's just right. For 2 people having breakfast or tea or something as long as you aren't trying to put a million serving dishes in the table this is a great set for a small space and it is definitely true to the picture, at least the mahogany is that I got. Can't speak for the rest.
